Duncan joined a student representative from The University of the West of England for a debate on higher education funding at St Laurence School, Bradford on Avon.
The event, organised by a Year 10 pupil, gave students the chance to question Duncan on all aspects of higher education policy, including the nature of graduate contributions and the replacement for Educational Maintenance Allowance.
“I welcomed the opportunity to meet with the St Laurence students and commend them for organising such a successful debate.
“I was impressed by the turnout and the very thoughtful questions that were put to me by young people who are understandably concerned about the changes that they foresee to the higher education system.
“I hope that I was able to comprehensively answer those questions and allay some of their fears.”
