Duncan has welcomed the news that the ongoing parking problem in Westwells Road, Corsham, has now been resolved.
Constituents had previously contacted Duncan to complain about the number of cars parked on both sides of the road outside of MoD Corsham, which prevented local people from using the Post Office.
After writing to Wiltshire Councillors on behalf of his constituents, Duncan was pleased to hear that double yellow lines have been drawn along Westwells Road with time limited parking bays outside of the Post Office.
Visiting the site one year on from his original visit, Duncan was pleased to see very few cars parked along the road.
“I am delighted that the parking restrictions are clearly working along Westwells Road. The situation here is remarkably different to my last visit.
“I am pleased to hear that local residents can now easily access the Post Office, ensuring that it stays open for business, and that this has been achieved due to the co-operation of Wiltshire Council and the Ministry of Defence.”
